Portals, Anybody home??!!!

Hey guys,
I've been contacting portals for a month now and non has given me any feedback on my game, is it usually that slow with portals? or is it just me? this is my first experience with portals. one of them replied to me that they are reviewing the game and will contact me later, and that was a month ago... what to do?

Most of them give feedback within a month. I got the most replies after a week or two. Maybe it helped to supply a fact sheet with compact information.

some are way better than others, some are pretty rubbish. Also this time of year they are very busy and also will go on holiday soon...

If portals don't like your game, some of them will not reply at all. So it might be holiday related, it might be that they don't want to take your game.

Great game you've got there. It won't be some portals cup of tea but I don't see any reason why BigFish, Reflexive or ArcadeTown wouldn't want it so they are probably just busy right now.

In another thread Arcade Town brought up that they're swamped with game submissions this time of year and I recall that was seconded by another publisher. You may not hear back until the New Year (if at all).

I know that we are pretty swamped over at Reflexive at the moment. Our Arcade Producer said that last week we evaluated 64 games...and 58 the week before that.

I don't know if we are one of the ones that hasn't gotten back to you, but I wouldn't be surprised if it has been a couple of weeks here in the mad rush of the holiday season...I don't think we've gotten as many submissions before as we have now...however, if it has been over a month, PM me about it...we should have gotten back to you about it...

I guess that's it, we just picked the wrong time to launch the game on portals... we'll just wait for things to clear out :)

last week we evaluated 64 games...and 58 the week before that.Youch, thank God mine made it through! I actually started approaching the portals at the end of Oct for a Christmas release to make sure everything was in place ready - that's my advice.
