Here’s the deal:

I’m desperately trying to raise enough money to pay for my trip to GDC this year (‘07). I have an all exclusive pass as media through Music4Games of which I write for, but I need to pay for travel and accommodations myself. Currently my family is trying to save enough money to rescue our horse from California (we moved to Florida two years ago) so our finances are heading that way. I would very much like to take on as many projects as possible at reduced rates (if need be) so I can jump on current travel rates to San Francisco.

My website hasn’t been updated since I got hired by Full Sail to teach Game Audio to Game Design students here, but I’ve still been keeping busy with projects. My speciality (and most requested asset) is dialog production.

My voice (and voice productions) can be found in:

Rates?

Well, I really work within the budget of the game and I’m flexible. I’ll try and approximate here:

Currently I can safely say for about a minute of dialog (one piece) I can knock out in about ten minutes. Another twenty minutes for editing and formatting. So for half an hour of work I’m willing to do for $40.

That changes for smaller pieces of dialog. Let’s say Narrative vs RTS style dialog. RTS’s usually have tons of quick one liners. While the recording may not take as long, the editing and formatting does. So a minutes worth of quick one liner bits (approx 20-30 clips) may take 20 minutes to record and at least an hour to edit. So for that we’re talking about $80.

Sound Design varies on the complexity and specific quality requested. Usually I can crank out one sound effect in ten minutes, so taking the $80 for a full hour formula means one sound effect for about $15.

You’ll just have to ask about specific music requests. I’ve been known to spend as little as 30 minutes on a complete track to weeks at a time.

These are way ballpark figures but hopefully they can give you an idea of what you would be dealing with if you work with me.

Hopefully my posts here on indiegamer have garnered some kind of reputation as “not just looking for gigs” and that I’m completely immersed in the world of game development. I truly take on each “gig” on a personal level and always help to promote and champion your project as if it were my own. Here are some trailers I made for some of my past games:

Thanks so much for considering me.

Tony is a real pleasure to work with. He does whatever it takes to get the job done. All the voice, sound and music work we needed was high quality and professional. His work is very affordable, under priced really and he is great guy to work with. We are extremely happy with the work he has done on Kingdom Elemental.

You're game probably needs a trailer. It's a fantastic marketing tool. The Kingdom Elemental trailer has already received 2500 views in just 2 weeks!

So I thought I'd mention in my thread here that I'm also available to cut trailers for your game. I have a few different game capturing software and have made a few trailers for some of the games that I have worked on.

www.anthem-audio.com/Samurai/Samurai.wmv

Both of which are already linked to in the above post, but I thought I'd direct your attention here! ALl of these are about 10MB direct link, though plopping them in YouTube compresses them greatly for streaming.

And if you haven't seen it already, here's the trailer for Kingdom Elemental:

www.anthem-audio.com/KE/VIDS/KE_Trailer.wmv

or streaming in YouTube

I'm thinking each of these trailers run about 2-3 minutes and they take me roughly four hours to put together. So for something like those I'd probably charge $100.

The only thing I'd need from you is a working copy of the game and a track of the music that you want to have playing (or let me know if you need one, I have quite a few stock tracks ), then I'll go to work!

If you want to add voice overs (of which I'm more than qualified to produce!) then a little more time will go in which may jump up prices, but not much. Maybe another $25 or so. We can talk about it! Yes, lets!

Another plug for Tony... he's simply a pleasure to work with, and the voice work he produces does wonders for a game. Don't settle for making a great game with horrible voiceovers done by family and friends. Get Tony to do something for you.
