I was at yahoo and they have a lot of buzz about this new game called linerider
The premise is simple you just draw lines and then this guy on a sled rides the lines. I have been trying to get on their site http://linerider.org but it seems busy.
This is the yahoo video: http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=c860df3ccf66c83fb61bb2ffd934330b.1127505&cache=1

Yes. I dare say it's the most popular game on the Internet right now. In fact, it was recently featured in some huge newspaper, like The New York Times, or something. Been making its rounds for sure, and I believe it all started on the guy's Deviant Art page as a programming "sketch."

I find the videos more entertaining than the game itself. Some people have way too much time on their hands! :)

Yup, I played this after it appeared on jayisgames.com (http://jayisgames.com/archives/2006/09/line_rider.php) .
From a casual gameplay point of view I would note that success and failure are equally fun in this game :D
OMG, that 2nd youtube video is crazy!

Foolishly introduced the dev team to it the other week. Must have lost about 500 man hours to it :(

Was on Yahoo main page yesterday.
Count me among the people who aren't attracted by this internet fad.

It's insanely popular. I posted about Line Rider (http://www.fun-motion.com/news/line-rider/) and some other physics toys on Fun-Motion a few weeks ago. I also followed up with another news post about a particularly impressive video. Neither post is ranking too well in the SERPs--maybe page 3 now, used to be page 2--but I've had 3,554 hits for line rider-related search terms in the last week.
Whoever had the smarts to make linerider.org as a huge community page should be seeing some decent traffic (maybe too decent, since it's currently down).

A curiosity, tired of it after two goes so another one who didn't get caught up in it but then I suppose you need to pass it amongst friends to get that "fun feeling", trying each others drawings out. On your own, it's nothing special.
It reminds me of DS games that Ive seen for some time now, where you draw paths for sprites to follow, land on etc ;)
