I've recently reformatted my machine, and I'm going a bit nuts trying to remember which bitmap font program I was using to create my fonts. I'm almost certain I was using AngelCode's Bitmap Font Generator, but when I downloaded it, I cannot find a way to generate unpacked textures with it, and my fonts are definitely unpacked, just like Bitmap Font Builder from LMNOPC creates them. But I'm sure I wrote a convertor which converted XML definition files, and it's BFG that produces those. BFB produces ini or dat files.

So what I think I'm asking is.. does anyone has a version of Bitmap Font Generator from AngelCode which saves unpacked textures? IE: 256 characters in an 8x8 pattern on the texture. I can only find the latest version which is 1.7a. Or is there an option I'm missing in 1.7a to produce those unpacked textures? I've looked everywhere but maybe I missed it.

I've always used angel code and as far as I remember it's always packed the characters. You could always grab my FontLib for BMAX that will do the unpacking for you.

surely is not what you look for, but here's a tool you could have a look at:
