Another game name - what do you think?

I'm not a native English speaker, so I thought I might get some opinions on
this.

BLAST RIDERS

Does it sound too stupid? Not stupid enough? What does it evoke?
It's going to be an action game. Shooting, explosions, lasers, that kind of stuff.
Definitely not intended for portals.

Blast Riders sounds like your on some sort of horse shooting a laser....definatly riding something, maybe a robot?

If you dont mount any thing maybe change it if you do then its good:)

Agreed. If you don't ride (as in "mount") anything, then "Riders" is a bit poo.

How about "Blast Wave". Riding that implies you're on the edge of chaos and destruction and whilst it doesn't say anything specific about the game, it does evoke the sort of thing you'd be looking for in a shooter. imo.

Thanks. I'm saving this for another game I might do in the future, which will have motorbikes in it. This one doesn't, so I'll use another name.

(Slightly late, but Blast Riders makes me think of surfboards and lasers. Why aren't there more games with surfboards and lasers? :) )

Blast Riders is a great name, I like it more than Devastro. Whether or not it has anything to do with the gameplay or the storyline it sounds cool. You could probably name any kind of shmup or action game with a lot of shooting and explosions "Blast Riders" and get away with it.
