After many long hours of work, I have finally completed my first game: Sanctuary (http://nate-bradley-games.com/SanctuaryAbout.htm)

It is a top-down story-driven action game. It has a story mode, challenge modes, mini-games, unlockables and great music made by my game making partner.

You can view some screenshots of it here:

Screenshots (http://nate-bradley-games.com/SanctuaryScreenshots.htm)

Or, you can download the Demo of it here:

Demo! (http://nate-bradley-games.com/SanctuaryDemo.htm)

So give it a try, tell me what you think.

Man, it feels good to finally have completed something.

Screenshots look neat. Im downloading now. However.. I think the web page needs some work.. Here's your text..

"Sanctuary is our debut game. Traverse the engrossing Story Mode with combat and conflict aplenty. Follow the story of Etan as he infiltrates a deadly corporation all the while listening to the wonderful musical stylings of Peter Maricle. Replayability extends beyond the Story Mode with the randomly generated Challenge Modes and unlockable Mini-Games. But don't just take our word for it, play it for yourself"

Things I don't care about as a potential downloader/customer in this paragraph..

- Its your debut game (only one? musnt be too good then)
- Story mode! I mean.. maybe I like stories but err.. what kind of a game is it? Role playing? Action? Puzzle? I have no idea...
- Main characters name, story point alluded to; I have no invested interest in your character. Unless its bugs bunny or someone I already know it can wait
- Music stylings...
- mini games etc...

Basically all of it. You need to rewrite that but assume that you're a potential customer who's never heard of the game. What do they want to know? Not in any particular order..

- How big is this demo to dowload? How long will it take
- what kind of a game is it? What genre
- What platform is it for? Mac? Windows? Palm?
- What will I get if I download the demo? 10 playable levels? A 1hr trial?

and so on... Everything should be geared towards getting them to download and try it. The story etc.. all that will work itself out in the demo.

Well it's a pretty interesting game. My main complaint would be simply that there are too many keys and strange somewhat awkward interfaces. Dont pretty a key now, press a key, hit space to read the story or escape, hit q to switch items.. hit g hit rmb etc... Man... Key overload! I realize the game has a lot of nifty features and so on, but it would be nice to see you streamline all that stuff a bit by use of more context dependent key reactions.

The gameplay itself is pretty fun. I like the way the guys dodge the bullets slightly. That reminds me of Galaxian. The whole game reminds a bit titles like Twinsens Odyssey. Even the graphical style is somewhat similar.

After some deliberation, I decided to go with my original instinct of pricing it at $14.95 instead of $19.95.

Thanks for the input on my website, I plan on changing the text soon.

Actually, I have just decided that $9.95 is a much more resonable price. :)
