Does anyone have any good links on creating compelling dialog(ue) trees/graphs? I've done a cursory search, but haven't found anything substantial.
I've whipped up a quick utility to convert yEd's (http://www.yworks.com/en/products_yed_about.htm) graphs into parsable code. This makes the actual construction pretty easy. However, I'm not sure how to make the end result fun and interesting.
Thank you,
Dr. Samuel Clemens III Sr. (Mrs.), Esq.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for but it is related...
A conversation tree is about choices (about how the PC will respond). Here's a list of "rules" that I wrote up about choices, whether part of a conversation tree or game.

Dunno that I can help you with your quest... other than to say find a fun and interesting writer?...
.. but thank you thank you for that link... Not sure how I hadn't run across that program before, but it is very excellent, and just what I needed for one of my projects.

That's a good one; thanks!

Yeah; I use yEd for all sorts of stuff. You can output to a number of easy-to-parse formats, making it a useful design tool.

Hi Dr. Samuel...
I've also been looking a similar program to assist in dialogue tree design and prototyping. I would be interested in giving your utility a spin... I sent you a PM :)
