Wadjet Eye Games (www.wadjeteyegames.com) is proud to announce its latest adventure game entitled The Blackwell Legacy! Unlike their previous games The Blackwell Legacy is structured in an episodic style.
The Blackwell Legacy is a miniseries of adventure games that stars a medium named Rosangela Blackwell and her spirit guide Joey Mallone. Their mission, it seems, is to assist tormented spirits and investigate supernatural events.
The Blackwell Legacy has been built for old school adventure gamers. Wadjet Eye Games has hired Ian Schlaepfer, who made underground adventure waves with his /Apprentice/ series (http://www.herculeaneffort.com), to create the sprite art for The Blackwell Legacy! Wadjet Eye has gone on to ensure that this game has an authentic adventure feel.

Heh.
If you want to give me more money feel free. :)
This is why I dig this forum. It's the only place on the internet where people say that I should charge MORE. If only all criticism were as cool.

I do not know how long this game is. However, having bought and played your previous game The Shivah, I have to say that I would been seriously pissed off at its short length if I had paid more than $5 for it. Unless this game is at least four times as long as The Shivah, do not raise the price unless you want to deal with seriously disappointed customers.

Sounds a good game. I made a post about it in Adventure-Advocate, the largest adventure games related site in Greece, so you may get some hits from there :-). I'm going to check out your game as soon as i gather the strength to move over to the bank and put some cash in... :-P.

Could we have an estimation of hours to complete? If it's like 15 hours, ie as long as one of the nancy drew games you've probably got me as a customer.
Oh, and good move having links to the reviews on the site. Try to get more, especially from a place such as www.justadventure.com
I would like a demo though... you know, just to see if it'll run on my computer.
Maybe you could do a non-interactive promo movie on your site too?

Rainer:
Shivah was $5 for the exact reasons you mention. It was short, and the graphics were very low-quality. Plus, the game was originally freeware so I couldn't justify charging more for it.
Blackwell, however, is at least three times the length of Shivah. Not to mention that the overall production quality of the graphics, music, and sound is at a MUCH higher level. Plus, I'm sure we all understand the need to make a profit. :)
Joshua:
I've contacted many review sites and review copies have been sent out. It's been my experience that many review sites take awhile to get around to reviewing a game (a few weeks up to a few months). Since the game was just released I don't expect an influx of reviews right away.
Just Adventure is at the top of my list. :) I got word from Randy that they'll check it out once their server comes back on.
A demo is coming out soon.
