Info:
For starters, hello! This game is the team's first project together that will actually be finished. We had worked on some minor student projects together in the past, even got into the IGF Student Showcase, but this game is our first attempt to release something. We're a team of 4 that left our jobs to work on this full-time using money we saved up and working in my dining room. This version (we had a prototype a while back that was pretty rough) has been in development for about 1.5 years and is currently in open beta. We are hoping to finish the game in about 3 weeks.

ThreadSpace: Hyperbol is a projectile-based strategy game with real-time combat and an enormous variety of tactics. There's also a persistent universe where players can create characters that can gain levels and earn credits to apply towards upgrading their ships.

The actual gameplay starts slow for new players, but evolves into an intense bout of tactics as the player utilizes their ship's arsenal to counter and defeat their opponents. The whole premise is that you are piloting this ship and can select various projectiles to fire from it that all serve a unique purpose. You can, for example, fire a plasma bolt that deal direct damage when it hits something, or fire a repulsor and deploy it, which will 'push' incoming projectiles away. There are over 20 unique projectiles, so the games get pretty interesting as players devise strategies to defeat their opponents.

It's primarily a multiplayer game with up to 16 players in a game, but we also have a tutorial and some training maps to help players get familiar with the game.

We're very new to this and have been having a really hard time generating awareness for the game, so we don't have that many players online at the moment. We're still trying to get more players, but could always use help. Please let me know what you think of it, good or bad, I can take it :)
