Adult Swim will be a home for independent games. We know that there are talented artists and programmers looking for someone to pay them to do what they do best: make fun games. So if you make casual Flash or Shockwave games, check out the guidelines above and send us some pitches.

If you have any questions, please address them to games@adultswim.com.

Thanks!

Interesting, Chris...

Expect a pitch from us in the near future...

Not to diss Flash/Shockwave games, but if AdultSwim ever decides to offer downloadable games, please post on this forum again. I would love to build casual, interactive narrative games for your audience.

Would other developers here prefer that kind of opportunity?

Of course - 95% of us are downloadable developers...
So much more room for content (both filesize and tech limitations) - not to mention much greater revenue potential...
But it all depends..

Yeah, we know that downloadable games are more alluring for developers for many reasons, and perhaps in the future we'll decide to go down that route again, but our site is really geared towards on-site web games. Maybe one day, though.

I know there are plugins that allow users to play downloadable games online, just like a flash game (igLoader). However, I don't think that any of them support games for Mac yet.

Just to clarify, is this for any good game concept? Or is it a plus or even preferable to make a game related to one of the AdultSwim shows?

As per the submission guidelines (http://www.adultswim.com/games/submissions/index.html), they do not want games based on their properties.

Hey guys. We've greenlit a few games based on pitches sent to us, but we always need more. So if you can make an awesome, weird web game, please feel free to pitch us! The stranger the better. Any takers?

Hate to keep bumping my own thread, but I just want to remind people that we're still open for submissions. Our first original game just launched, Five Minutes to Kill (Yourself) (http://www.adultswim.com/games/fiveMinutes/index.html), so that should be a good barometer of the angle we're going for.

We need submissions! We're sitting here, trying to give you guys money, but you're just not cooperating! ;)

I've worked on some games for Comedy Central and it was fun but the kind of freedom in this offer is almost too good to be true. I'll tell my partner about this. Than you!

Game submission procedure is terribly difficult Torrent. You should allow faxed agreements at least. So I'm afraid you will be waiting looooooooooooooong-looooooooooooong time. ;)

May be its better to point out what kind of games you are looking for
(one example is not enough). Give five-six flash games you would take.
I plan to develop couple flash games and need some directions.

I have a design idea... it's a "sandbox" game where you run around a virtual city trying to place flashing LED signs before the Boston PD catches you.

Pyabo -- none of those, thanks!

Some other games we're working on now:

Bible Fight -- a fighting game with characters from the Bible
Orphan Feast -- "A Modest Proposal" in game form.
Nine Billion Miles From Earth -- 50s style B Movie space shooter with live action.

These are just the ones nearing completion that I can talk about right now. But don't try to guess what we'll like. It's best to just pitch the screwed up idea you want to make and hopefully we'll get on board with it. We have absolutely no house style. We'll do anything we find interesting.

We also have internal concepts we're parceling out to game developers, so if you pitch us something and we don't take it, but we think you're a great developer anyway, we might get you to develop one of our ideas instead.

Oh my G-d... that's brilliant. :D

I can hear the Mortal Kombat style voiceover now...

Moses versus Pharaoh... FIGHT!

Well, now Bible Fight has launched! Yay! Hopefully it will help you guys figure out the kinds of things we're interested in.

I haven't played it yet, but I adore the commercial
