Is there a forum/site where folks go to riff on game ideas? (Here?) I'm looking for a forum where you can chat about goofy/pie in the sky game ideas just for the pleasure of exploring the possibilities and sharing ideas with game developers. I don't want to pollute the indie chat area with something like this, but surely there's a place to gab about game ideas?

I'd imagine our own Game Design forum (http://forums.indiegamer.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19) would be an appropriate place. ;)

That's pretty much what we do at the GDR (http://www.gamedevelopersrefuge.org). Talk about bizarre ideas, critique what's out there, etc.

I'm sorry, but I am new here and I have to ask: what's this? How does one get in? Invitation only? Is this 'Illuminati' a living & breathing community worth trying to hunt down a member?

The first rule of Game Illuminati is to not talk about Game Illuminati. Yes it's invite only, yes it's pretty exclusive. (I'm not a member)

So how does one go about getting an invite to GameIlluminati, never heard of it before, but my interest is peaking. Especially if they have meaningful discussions about actual game design.
