Hi,

is anybody using the 3D Game Studio here ?
I saw on their site that Suricate use or used it...is it any good, or good enough for 3D casual games ?

It's good enough for just about anything, 2D or 3D.

We're using it for our upcoming title, Galaxy Rage (http://www.galaxyrage.com), and have used it for two previous titles (http://www.dejobaan.com) over the past few years. I'm really happy with it. You might also want to look at the various Torque engines. I don't have enough experience with them to compare, but they're popular among indies.

Hi Micehead - "eek out a short existence" should be "eke out a short existence"

and if you aren't out for last winter, and since you said upcoming, then I think your site should read "out for Winter 2007" instead of winter 2006. Looks like an interesting title.

Unless it comes comes out in december......

but that's an issue for another time. I'm using A6 for my projects it's a nice enigne for my purposes. You're only limited by your own scripting abilities. One caveat though, I can't reccomend the commercial engine because I don't have it. You have to pay for different versions of the same engine.

(Ie you get networking capabilities if you pay more.) I don't like being sold something in pieces. It is nice for a single player game. For my multiplayer stuff I plan on using torque. They're both about the same price too.
