From this site I hoped for a little bit more supprt for an Indie game of some repute!
I think your finalising reason to close the RDKF thread was ignorant, small-minded and you jumped to one or two assumptions that are little other than blind conceit.
How dare you question our credentials. Who are You?
>Sorry Vapouraid, the members of this forum are game developers serious about turning their game development passion into businesses that enable them to continue to do what they love.
Fantastic. A reason Not to close us down as it rests very easily with what we are.
>Excitement is an important part of the development cycle but we tend to channel our excitement into making great games and sharing them with others.
This is quasi-elitist rubbish. Rag Doll Kung Fu is already being shared with others and who are you to say what is a great game?
>We don't channel it into making non sensical one line posts that waste the time of everyone who reads them.
That's a matter of opinion. In my opinion, existing members of this site made made an equal number of lines that make no sense to me, including your blinkered response to the presence of an actual game on your site. It would have been more sensible to me for you to have opened a section where people involved in the making of individual games can have a discussion.
>The majority of the members of this forum are professional people, ex-industry veterans, people with full time development jobs (and in many cases families), or full time independent developers.
So?
>We post here because we really don't have time to read the incoherent posts of rabid players. This is a developer community, not a player community.
Mud slinging? That's mature. Fine, well, I was in game development when you were in nappies sonny boy.
>When you post here you need to respect the members of the community that may be reading the posts. They aren't 13year old kids looking for the next cool game to play.
Neither am I. I'm more than twice that age.
>I don't think you even bothered to check and see what the appropriate forum was for this post.
You're right. I just looked for the closest one I could find. Which is why I regret not asking you first. That still doesn't justify your actions.
>If you want to announce a game, it goes in the "News and Announcements Forum". We are always happy to have new members as long as they are respectful of the rest of the community.
Fine. I'll put something there then.
Shame, I'd rather you'd been somewhat more cooperative. After reacting the way you did, speaking of "sharing" sounds entirely hypocritical.
