No, unfortunately I haven't managed to create an entirely new game in the past two weeks - instead I decided to follow the advice of people on here and rename Super Hamster Ball to Super Gerball before I start marketing it.

The site is now at www.supergerball.com

Hopefully there won't be any confusion now :)

Anyway, there is a new demo available with a number of changes including new levels, a new mouse mode which is hopefully easier to use, and a new replays menu. I've also changed and fixed quite a lot of other things based on people's feedback.

If you give the new demo a try I'd be interested to hear your feedback. I've created a feedback form on the website if you wish to use that rather than leave a comment here:

Feedback Form (http://www.superhamsterball.com/download/questionnaire/)

Finally, links to screenshots and download:

I want to congratulate you with marvelous job done.

This is a great original SMB twist.

Here are some glitches:
1) No icon in Windows XP ALT-TAB.
2) Game doesn't pause in the background.
3) Great music.
4) Check attachment, I'm stuck.
5) How about "restart" level for such cases. Life gets lost of course.
6) I don't think people will like taking such cute creature into toilet stuff.
7) 16-20fps ingame, Trident CyberBlade, P3-800/256, WinXP.
8) Great idea with level/demo preview, however game locks up for couple of seconds while switching zones, please render "LOADING" before the gfx locks up.
9) No music in tutorial. Add extra sounds - pageflips.

The demo doesn't have a lot of features, but the game is great. Hope you'll create neat community by inclusion of the level editor.

This game ran great for my P3-800, Win2k, GeForce4 machine. My wife went "ooohh!", and I didn't get my machine back for a while.

All in all, I'd say this was the slickest, most professional-looking shareware game I've ever seen. I hope you get filthy rich.

Good man, changing the name was the right decision :)
(Edit: I was having problems with the screenshots using Safari but now it's ok :) )

Well I don't love the new name - I probably would have gone with something totally new like Rollin' Rodents, but I think using a different name for better or worse was the right decision. Good luck with it.

Dumb is me, for not reading the first post properly! :)

I think this was a smart move, Simon, well done. :) It's hard enough to sell games these days without putting yourself behind the 8-ball right from the start...

Really smooth, friendly engine.
I like it very much.
The above posts are right about the music..
it matches up very well with the visuals.
The only things that really need improving are the graphics..
they are very simple & static.
I've yet to find any bugs with the demo.. so..
that's really good!..
(levels where you have to move towards the camera..
or are forced to switch angels.. don't work so well though, imo)
Fair play to you for creating a really nice game!
I hope it sells well for you!

Thanks to everybody who mentioned the music, and congrats to Si on the successful completion of the game and the positive reception so far. Now sell, sell, sell! :)

I beta tested this game as Luke F. (You can see me in the credits of the game)
Well, I hope this game sells like mad! It looks like it deserves to be on shelves.

The reason I think it's down is because he's upgrading the demo to a newer, more generous version.
