Erm, just taking a straw poll. Can anyone who is a british indie developer, or knows one (i.e. REALLY knows one, but who isnt on this board) please post a message in here?

I'm trying to get a clue of the scale of indie development here. Plus I'm trying to figure out how many places to book the uk indie meetup room for.

Just a quick headcount really.

I guess i count as half or .5 or 50% of a UK developer:P

Moonpod is a Sheffield based company of two. We'd love to come to the meet.

We also know the Crystal Squid guys from when we worked at Gremlin, who are another two.

I've mentioned I won't be able to make it any time soon, but posting here for completeness.

I know of two others who don't frequent here, but I'm also sure they won't go either for the same reason. I'll mail em anyway for you.

British Indie here.

There's 3 of us, but I think only I'll be able to make it to the meet.

I know of another psuedo-indie so I'll pass this along to him and see if he's interested.

I'm a prospective one - once I get my current freebie project out of the way I'll be a big whore for money too. :)

Well, Irish, living in what is the UK but not Britain. So... take your pick.

That big body of water and my crippling funds mean meets aren't a healthy proposition for me just now...

I'm indie, and in Sheffield too, and also did a spell at Gremlin (once upon a time). Sadly may not be able to make the meet, as I sold my car to irish ram-raiders.

:p

Sod off with your sheffield ness.. Bolton is at least kind of in a reasonably central location, with a decent train/plane connection.

Sheffields out the arse end of nowhere :)

John, skint? :) I guess there are levels of skintness.

You'd be surprised. We were just about broke a couple of weeks back till we got a bit of consultancy work. We've had to live for 2.5 years on savings\redundancy.

can't we do this like proper geeks, all plot our google earth co-ordinates and pick the average point?

Meriden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meriden,_England) is the obvious choice. :)

I'm a Brit and an Indie, but I live on the Iberian Peninsula. Where does that leave me?

Am I the only one out here?????
