renaming HouseFlip!

I'm coming to the conclusion that I've really got to rename HouseFlip! before I publically release the next alpha playable. The goal is to distance the game from the HouseFlip! TV shows that are going to look passe as the real estate bubble bursts and also to have a title that doesn't feel dated in a year or two. Here are some thoughts:

1. Real Estate Tycoon
2. Sim Real Estate
3. Buy, Fix, Sell!
4. Real Estate 101

Any other ideas or votes?

I have very little knowledge of the law, but wouldn't 1 and 2 invite trademark violation lawsuits? :P

I personally like "Buy, Fix, Sell!" because it sums up the game so well. It's the "Snakes on a Plane" school of naming. :) I'm totally not your target demographic, though-- I don't know if those activities sound fun to your market or not?

"Sim" would run you into trouble with Maxis, but as far as I can tell, "Tycoon" is generic.

Naming things is tough! I was tempted by "Unreal Estate" for a moment but the feeling passed.

I like "Real Estate Tycoon" and "Real Estate Empire", as they immediately convey what the game is about. I somewhat like "Buy, Fix, Sell!", as it conveys the game play and is very action oriented (more so than the other two), but it doesn't convey "real estate" right off the bat (after all you can 'buy, fix, sell' cars, furniture, etc). The title "Real Estate 101" might be confusing to some, as I don't know that everyone outside the USA understands what "101" refers to.

I think that not everyone outside the USA will understand "Real Estate" too.
Another vote for "Buy, Fix, $ell!", then you can make spin-offs with other stuff. :)

Thanks all, I've agonized over this one and finally come to Real Estate Empire. BigNobody, I like "From your first fixer-upper to your Real Estate Empire!" and may use it if that's OK - you can have a freebie when done if you want it.

LilGames, I will up you from your requested/demanded 1% to 40% - you just have to carry the title as an affiliate and make the sales!
