To All Utah Area Indie's,

Our next Utah Indie Night will be held on Thursday, July 27th, at 7 pm at the new Ninja Bee offices in Orem. (Yes, they have moved to a newer and bigger place). Thanks once again to Ninja Bee for hosting this event. Email or PM me if you need directions to get there.

Again, the format will be similar to last time, an informal get together to chat, eat pizza, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project, etc. Please bring some cash to chip in for the pizza and munchies, if you can.

Due to our growing size, we will need to change a few things this time around. In particular, we will need to keep the introductions brief (mainly so they don't take up our entire evening). Secondly we will need to plan for the demos before hand. So if you are planning on showing something to the group, please let me know, and we can plan for it better.

The event is open to anyone with some interest in Indie Games, so feel free to pass the word along.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Hope to see everyone there!

Bump to remind Utah folks it's this week and also to respond with my intent to attend.

Thanks for the bump. Also I want to remind everyone that the event will be in a new place, so don't show up at the old Ninjabee offices as you'll find nobody there. Again, we'll be keeping introductions brief and if you'd like to show something to the group, please send me an email so we can plan for that better. Hope to see you all there on Thursday!

Get ready to be amazed with the latest additions to Caster (http://www.elecorn.com/caster3d/index.html) based on last times feedback!

Also, Vic has a new game to show off. Yes, that's right. A new game! His goal is to bring a new game to each indie night to show off the speedy game development with his 2.5D Flat Red Ball engine (http://www.flatredball.com/).

Thanks everyone for coming! We had about 33 people there last night and it was awesome! I did a quick writeup about the evening here (http://monkey-time.blogspot.com/2006/07/utah-indie-game-night-july-2006.html). I'm sure Coyote will have writeup coming soon in his famous blog as well. See you all next time!
