Hey guys, do you know of any more places along the line of these companies?

I'm not necessarily looking to sell anything, but would like some nice looking art to experiment with or perhaps show off for projects.

Thanks!

We've got a list of stuff over at the game programming wiki:

Depends what you want. Are you making a prerendered game or a 3D game? If its 3D you have to distribute the models and no company that sells model packs will let you do that. You need an artist and you can forget about that. ;)

Baument model pack. Good and inexpensive. $40. :)

Very high quality models. $700 (but you need 3D Studio Max :( )

These are *awesome* resources guys! Thank you so much! I'm glad there's niches out there for us poor programmers with a passion, but no artistic ability. :)

If anyone has anymore, by all means keep putting them up here!

There is Daz3D's Daz Studio and Poser. Daz offers very cheap models. I've seen one guy using Poser to render out creature animations for the public. Wish I knew how to do it. :) He calls it InstaRender.

Here's our site dedicated to creating a library of low poly open content 3d environment models for indie developers to use.

The free models are in the sidebar as well as a list of other freebie sites.
