It's not specifically games-related, and most of the discussion points are probably not new to regular readers of this board. But it is interesting reading nonetheless.

The only thing it doesn't mention is your (not yours but anyones) game could not be selling because it isn't any good. ;)

Time and time again it has been shown that you can sell crap to anyone! It's probably less of a factor than we think.

The biggest point, and one he addresses, is letting people know that you've got something to sell. More exposure = more sales (assuming you have a product worth buying).

Good to know because our first Java game is a long way into the cycle and I'm still not convinced it'll be any good :p
