I've been working nearly a year on Mousechief's new game, 'Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble!', and I'm looking forward to demonstrating it at Casuality. It's an FRPG set in the USA, circa 1920's. In attempt to snag casual gamers, the world is presented using a board game metaphor. Conflicts are resolved by playing quick, sub-games. By incorporating narratives based on flash fiction, a player can play a satisfying story in 20-30 minutes.
Since many developer's here will be attending Casuality, maybe we can organize a mutual-feedback session?
What new fun will you be demonstrating at Casuality?

"dangerous high school girls in trouble" sounds like an *adult* movie to me. Maybe it's just me?

Now if Reflexive would show off 'Big Kahuna Reefer', we'd change the nature of casual games in one conference. :-)
Truly, I wanted a name that wouldn't drive men away from a game where the characters are a bunch of high school girls. My informal research suggests that women find the name intriguing, in a 'just what's going on here...' kind of way. When they see the splash screen and the tag line, they laugh.
Tag line: "The 'vintage' game of how good girls get better by being bad." ...with apologies to May West.
Women get the idea pretty quickly that the game is about being naughty, not dirty.
Currently, the Mousechief website has a rough idea for the splash screen. It'll look more like the box cover of an antique board game in the final art. (The description text needs to be reworked too.)

Bugatron Worlds (90% Complete)
Fruit Sliders (20% Complete)
I can't show our main (and most impressive) project because we're working with a 3rd party on it.

Same here but edgy title may generate lots of clicks from both men and women. Basically how "Deperate Housewives" is a smash hit with the women TV audience here. Perhaps shorter "dangerous girls" might be better?

I'm showing a BETA version of CRUMB (http://www.piddlepup.com)(90% complete) on the CD they give out and would be happy to show it off to others who are interested. I'm hoping it sturs up some more interest and gets more exposure.

Yeah, we considered it, but searching for 'dangerous girls' will give people a bad impression. Most similar short titles have been co-opted by adult venues.
I will say the coolest site is Suicide Girls. They're definitely naughty and not dirty, but they're quite post-new-age.
The full title treads a fine line, but so far our (minimal) research supports it. I don't know what we'll do if the publishers start bitching... :-)
Cartman, thanks for the link to Crumb. I'm glad you support Macintosh. I'll definitely boot up the game from the conference disk! I didn't know about that disk. I should get my head out my dev-mac and spend more attention on the PR/Business side of work.
Little off-topic, is there a website for Casualty?

We're still looking for volunteers for Casuality. If you want to help out, please visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=49022167518 or send me an e-mail (william@williamwilling.com).
In exchange for your help, you'll get free admission to the conference. Now there's an easy way to save $250. :)

I put Aveyond on the Minna CD as well. Will there be a place for us to show off our games? I suppose we need to bring laptops, etc?
Think I'll wait for Casualty Europe :)

Darn, it's too late to get onto the minna CD. I can't attend, but that would have been nice. Oh well, maybe next time. :)
