Game sound effect specialists IndieSFX (www.indiesfx.co.uk) have released a new effects collection, Background Loops. The theme for the set is urban ambience.
The set contains 30 seamlessly looping environmental sounds for a variety of locations. A chemistry lab, a football crowd, a summer park, a meat factory and many more locations are featured.
The sounds are ideal for use in 3D environments or as a replacement for music in many types of game. The sounds are wide stereo, separate mono ones are provided which are more than a simple merging of the channels. Each sound loops without obvious repetition and all of the sounds but one are a neat eight seconds long.
