Can anyone reach www.mysterystudio.com or www.powweb.com which is the hosting provider? I can't reach these, powweb.com doesn't even respond to a whois query!

Anyone has any idea what's going on?

I can reach powweb.com as this is their adv on the main page...

When you host with PowWeb, your web site will experience virtually no downtime due to maintenance or hardware failure because your site is load balanced evenly across multiple servers. If one server is ever down for any reason, your site will be served from other servers in the cluster. If you are looking for serious uptime, host with PowWeb!

I can't hit your site ( or my site, also hosted with them, come to that ) but PowWeb.com loads fine.

EDIT: And I've just tried three more sites I know are hosted with them, and none of them hit either. Clustered servers don't do much good when the whole network is down, I guess.

Mystery studio's dns won't resolve. Looks like powweb's dns server is down.

I was just coming back to post the same thing, that it was the DNS server, but it's back up again.

It's probably connected to all the changes and upgrades they mentioned they were planning. They were bought out recently, and I got a couple of emails that I only skimmed.

Thanks guys. It's working again. Here's the official news - http://forums.powweb.com/showthread.php?t=65129

I got scared. I never experienced this before. mysterystudio.com down, ok, but powweb.com itself? Luckily it only lasted a few hours.

A few hours?! wow I can't imagine how many sales you lost :(
Even if I thought that you successful guys were using at least a VPS if not a dedicated server...

Yup, PowWeb sucks royally. I only use them as download server. I think this is the only thing they can handle at acceptable level. Oh and their support sucks too.

A few hours? My host did processor upgrades last night and they were completely finished in less than half an hour.Well, glad to see you're back.

In my experience, Powweb has been pretty good overall. It had very few downtime incidents in the past three years. I don't complain.
