Hi all,

I am about to release a new shooting game. Iron Space. Please have a look at it and share your thoughts (gameplay, look and feel..) if you have a couple of minutes.

Screenshots: 1 (http://www.taipangames.com/IronSpace/screen0.jpg) 2 (http://www.taipangames.com/IronSpace/screen1.jpg) 3 (http://www.taipangames.com/IronSpace/screen2.jpg) 4 (http://www.taipangames.com/IronSpace/screen3.jpg)

System Requirements: DirectX 8.1

Download: here (http://www.taipangames.com/IronSpaceSetup.exe)

Marketing-wise: How would you go about releasing this game?

Thanks a lot,
Werner

Nice game! The sound and graphics are good (except I thought the enemies' bullets looked like rabbit dirt, hehe).

A question: Is it intentional that you must start the whole level over when you die? The second level seemed impossible to me, i never got passed the 7th (or so) wave.

Ya, it's meant to be hard. And of course you have to replay the whole level :D

I think you just answered your own question. If it's meant to be hard and you're not going to change that, then you'd better get some mileage out of it. Appeal to the hardcore shooter fans who like impossible games. The casual audience will NOT respond to a game where you get to stage 7, die, and have to start all over again.

Market to the niche you are apparently trying to reach.

Nice work.

May I ask how did you implement the nice starry & nebula background? ready-made texture? texture generator? or photoshop plug-ins?

I bought the backgrounds from this guy (http://www.3drt.com/).
