GDC Alpe Adria (Slovenia)

On april 8 - there will be first Alpe Adria GD Conference here in Ljubljana. "Alpe Adria" for 95% of people that don't know means this area and includes Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.
I don't wanna persuade anyone to come, because I don't know how good and big it will be (it's first and we are small country anyway) - but if anyone will come please tell me so maybe we can go on a beer or two, (or vine, or juice... n.p.)

I didn't know either. I can tell you after it if it would have been worth coming. I am a little sceptical because all these "tech fairs" ussually aren't that interesting. Ok this is a "conference" so I don't know, maybe it's different.

Just in case you mixed the month... event is 8 april - so one month forward, not 8 march (tomorrow).

Hi Janko,

well, I've been lurking on this forum for over a year and your post kind of forced me to register so I can respond :)

Anyway, I talked with a friend about GDAA and we are pretty interested visiting Ljubljana. We've been on and off (more off) working on some projects together. We even worked on a small game that was finished and I'm currently working on a 3D morphing plugin for 3D modelers (Blender, Lightwave,etc..). All in all, I have always been interested in game development and graphics.

It would be great if the Conference goes well, as we really need these kinds of meetings in this part of the world.

Hi,

Uh .... I just realized today is 8. apr. I am right in the middle of preparing room for my soon to be born kid - pruning some apples - doing something in the woods and two companies that hired me are jumping on my head today... If anyone is going I might get some time later in the afternoon for a drink!

I wasn't able to get any info about it :( ... there was some post on slogamedev forum but http://www.slogamedev.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1140 nobody told anything usefull. Their page also shows no more info than it did before - I don't know...

Unfortunately, I didn't go. There was not many information on their website so I wasn't sure what was going on. Has anybody been to the meeting? How was it?
I hope this GDC becomes a yearly event.
