There was once a miserable sod
called indiegamer bob
He tried to figure every' ting out
and write it in his blog
But he never got nuffin done
trolling forums way more fun
Oh don't cry for me indiegamer
don't cry for this lamer

Hey! My blog doesn't get in the way of game development. I can stop anytime I want to. B-)
When you find you need a break --
you've loosed the makefiles on the make...
A glass of wine has blurred your vision...
and eased your floating-point precision,
and set'ling in to browse these pages --
the window to the indie sages --
The Muse has struck! Oh blessed be!
"I think I'll write some poetry!"
...
Take pause afore you set to scribe
your loosely rhyming diatribe...
Rememb'ring those whose minds will waver
and pause their work to counter-favor.

sprawling slightly in your chair,
it's that awfull time of year
assignments stare you in the face,
yet more dev time put to waste
spent the day in full time study,
and outside it's still quite sunny
there's just time to quickly see,
what's up in the community
then spend a few hours on my game,
but each day seems to be the same:
indiegamer's growing fast --
and several hours are quickly past
Then tea and such take up my time -
I've still to code a single line
Ideas for art inside my head
but chat to friends, and read instead.
Re-read the forums - some posts are new
get sidetracked on devmaster too
I've still got time to write some code -
to try and finish charset_load();
but alas, it's not to be,
the time's spent writing poetry.
:D

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
I've got to stop doing this and do some work.
And so it appears do you.

Poetry is good,
Inspired, we think up new games.
But now one must work.

oh shut up now you feeble developer,
it's hard being an artist and a programmer
writing in rhymes is so much harder

There was a young man named Ty
Who when w**king did let out a sigh
Suddenly out went the light
Which gave him such a fright
That he shot himself straight in the eye!!:p
All the best
Mark.
