I'd like to announce the release of Tino's Fruit Stand. I tried not to make a clone and hope you find a relatively original game.

After stumbling across this site a few months ago, I've been too busy trying to ship my game to really post. But my game is finally completed and ready to try/buy. I'll be happy to answer any questions I can with this group from my experience. I'll be posting the development story on my website. And hopefully I'll have more time to post regularly.

FYI: "Click on images to enlarge" does nothing for me. I'm using firefox. Isn't there a way to play nice with the popup blocker?

Sadly that's the publisher's site so I have no control over that.
My website doesn't have popups - so you can see screenshots at http://www.chasingdogs.com

Should we move this thread to another section of the web board? But for now I'll just continue here until someone tells me otherwise.
This web page provides good context for this discussion:
http://www.chasingdogs.com/sneakpeek.html
I created a prototype in about a month's time with some friends testing the game out (see first screen shot). It went through a few iterations - including a serious design change at the time to get to the next version.
So I showed Big Fish and three other portals the second version. Big Fish and another portal were interested enough to talk seriously - a third publisher claimed they were interested but blew off a scheduled phone conference. With Big Fish, it started as just a distribution deal. Originally I was just going to work without a publisher, but when Big Fish saw version 3 (with "real" art as opposed to my programmer art), the publishing deal happened.
Big Fish is the publisher - so that's why I got that email. They have been great to work with and very helpful in getting my first project out the door. They'll definitely be getting first crack at my next game.
Hope that answers your question.

What for? Isn't this about your game and it's future success at BigFish game archive? :)
Thanks a lot for your answers! Good luck with future games!

Wasn't sure if this thread would be better in Indie Business.
Thanks for the kind words.

downloaded it and played it for a bit, nice game, minman!
So far, I've played the storymode a bit and I enjoyed the art, music, sound and everything, but I wish there were more rewards given to the player for playing game. I like the idea of a small guy standing up to the big corp bit and how you can pay off loans and stuff, but what would be cooler is when you raise enough money you can decide what building to buy instead of having the game decide for you.
I still had fun playing the game, good luck and wish you many success with it! ;)

Beautyfull game, congratulations, nice art, music, sounds, and its not a clone! thats good.
The only thing i dont like much is that before playing, all that information is shown, i didnt read it because it was too much and there wasnt a jerarchy, there wasnt levels to see, all was plain boring inforamtion, with numbers! argh, i dont think that that is for a casual game. You should put some things in there like, changing the color of the text in some parts where the type of info changes, change the size of the text where there are important things, make the text bold in some other parts or italic in other, etc.
Congratulations!, i also liked the development story, thanks for sharing.
