Hello,

just to want to say hello to ev'ryone on this board. My name is Joe and I'm living in germany. I have found this page some days ago and I really like it 'cause - of course - i develop games.

My first game i developed together with a friend of mine is called Psychoballs, and you can find it at http://www.intermediaware.de/?pageID=PRODUCTS_Psychoballs&lan=english . Because sales are very low i currently working on an update that contents an easy ingame-tutorial, some better graphics performance on older graphic cards and some other little improvments.

I also hope to release my second game this year which is nearly finished. It's a space shooter like the old Amiga Games R-Type, Katakis... but with a lot of 3D Effects and very nice graphics.

greetings

joe

Welcome... Your game looks great from the screen shots. You may want to consider putting more effort in an english translation for your site. I'm pretty good at puzzle games but I'm overweight and going bald, so I probably wouldn't do so well according to your site:

Are you cute enough to solve all 50 Levels?

Same here, just starting to lose the hair though. But if you are interesting you might fit the definition of cute. :p

The game does work quite slow on my p3-800, I would suggest you making all the settings low-end by default. Also, it's not intuitive and too slow from the first glance. We were recently doing a post-mortem for another game which basically does share the same flaws as you do:

@maksum: oh, i always tought cute is another word for clever - thank you for the tipp - i try to get the website checked by someone who has a better english knowledge than me.

@patrox: hey, your game looks great! very cool graphics! i have started to work on Psychoballs because i couldn't find a logical-clone for a long time. proabably i haven't searched enough :-)

@emuLynx: yes, i already know that its a very slow on older machines. the next release will have low graphics by default.

i also think that the demo is too difficult for casual gamers, heard this a lot by mail from users who played the demo.

Joe,

replace

You have the mission to move and sort diffrent coloured balls trough complex pipe-systems. This requests a lot of cleverness by your side. Find the right strategy for each problem, but only a little mistake can cause your plan to fail and everything gets very hectically.

Are you cute enough to solve all 50 Levels?

Are you sharp enough to solve all 50 Levels?

at least :) I'm sure others in here can come up with cleverer stuff but that slightly adjusted version reads more easily.

This is quite similar to our first game Traffic Jammer (http://www.crystalsquid.com/games/)

The online Java version is proving to be quite popular, but the deluxe download is not exactly selling like hotcakes, more like stale buns :(

We have some things we are planning to do - particularly important (& hard for a logic game) is the 'wow' factor for the first 5 minutes of play, and the sense of reward for the player in the early stages.

Add to this the fact that logic games are not as popular with the general crowd (bit of a niche audience).

If you do find good sites to attract logic puzzle fans, then please let me know ;)

Caspian Rychlik-Prince (yeah, really) but no need to mention me :) I assume the rest of your message is to Pat and Dom!
