Okay, you're working on your next great game, and you put aside some time for marketing this upcoming title. What creative things can you do to help market your game. Feel free to add to this list.
1. Register the domain name for your title, put up a proper and informative web site so that it will already listed well in Google on day 1 of product introduction. Be sure to include a page that contains a variety of marketing product descriptions, screenshots, animations, etc., basically a digital press kit. (Example: http://vegasjackpotgold.com/press.htm)

I don't want to hijack the thread... excelent work on your press page. Can I ask why did pick out numbers like 25, 52, 136, 258? Why not 30, 60, 150, 300?

I do like the way you have lots of quotes that someone could pick from.
Interesting side question to go with that. Is it correct / legal / worth it to correct peoples spelling mistakes when putting quotes into a press kit.
and example from your page is
"This game is great!!!!!!!!!! i love it!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!! any new ones come out just email me and im sure ill buy it!!!!!!!!!" - Tracey, Barnesgat, NJ
Now I would be tempted with a quote like this to remove a number of the exclamation marks, leaving maybe two or three but no more, and to capitalise the beginning of the new sentances and add an apostrophe into "im" and "ill".
This is not changing the meaning or any words of the quote, but making it look more professional.
What do people think, would that be allowable, how about recommended?
Do people think that well written quotes are more professional or maybe that quotes like the above give an air of more excitement and make the quote seem more real and not made up by the game writer.

The word counts are just how the sentences worked out, in a set of ballpark sizes. I'd rather have it read better, than stick to some arbitrary multiple of ten. (Of course maybe I was inadvertantly counting in base 12.4756 ;) )
I left the quotes exactly from the registrations as typed. I think this gives more authenticity, and an even better recommendation. And that's what they said! :D
Okay, who's going to add marketing idea #2?
