"The people who were video game players were better and faster performers," said psychologist Ellen Bialystok, a research professor at York University. "Those who were bilingual and video game addicts scored best -- particularly at the most difficult tasks."
Hmmm.. ok great.. so that means if Jack Thompson is right, not only do we have a number of trained killers bordering on psychosis to deal with, they're now shown to be particularly tricky clever killers!

I think it's not that video games exercise your mind... I think it's merely that without the distraction of girls or grooming, a human achieves a high focus efficiency state.

Personally, I feel that the results can be explained by people getting better and faster at decision-making and evaluation.
If games are all about interesting decisions, then the more you play them, the better you would be at contrasting and evaluating which decisions to make and when.
