www.shmup-dev.com doubles in unique visits

Cool news!

Our unique visits have doubled since last weekend! We're now looking at around 400 uniques per day, where they were at 200 a day last week! Of course, our page views are still pretty high @ 3300 per day. (hits are in the tens of thousands per day) We've had a rough ride within the last couple weeks as we switched hosts and then switched computers. Thus causing some down-time and affecting our averages. Even though we've had all of this down-time, our uniques are up 200% of last week.

Once our competition is finished (late march) we're expecting a growth spurt as traffic increases to view all of our entries.

If you're into shmups at all, I would love to see you there!

Congrats on the traffic increase. FYI, "hits" means every single web request--html, gif, jpg, whatever. If you have 1,000 pageviews and 10,000 hits it just means that each pages loads, on average, 9 images. They aren't that useful of a metric to quote.

Yeah I know what hits are, just pointed that out so people wouldnt ask "are you sure those 'page views' aren't hits?" as hits are different!
