Plimus Download "Registration"

I'm ready to get this momma out the door, but I'm not in the mood to develop the registration code, screen, menu, etc.

I've decided to work with Plimus, for various reasons. As such, I'm wondering how easy it is to use full-version downloads (as opposed to serials) with them? How much customer information do I get? Will I get enough information that if I choose to switch to serials in the future, I'll be able to contact everyone and give them one? Or, once I open that door, am I stuck serving downloads for the rest of this game's life?

You get all info like Name, Surname, email, home addres, phone.... so I think there should be no problem. I am really interested of what you will put out, are there any betas available?

You'll be fine either way.

If you do the full version thing, you can upload it to Plimus' servers and they will handle timed download links per customer, url's and all that jazz. (Or you can always just host the full version on your own server and they will distribute the url)

If you go regkey style, you can either give Plimus a list of reg keys or have them interact with a web based keygen on your site (using php or whatever). Your script would then echo the appropriate key back and Plimus will send it along with the registration email.


You get the emails of every customer (plus a ton of other information I might add ;) so if you wanna switch later by sending them a reg key, you'd be easily able to do so.
