Hi All,
Once again, we're looking to meet up with any Vancouver (Canada) area indies for the purposes of socializing and knowledge sharing :) Matt and I from Grubby Games will be attending, as will Jamie Cheng of Klei Entertainment (http://kleientertainment.com/). If anyone else is interested in joining in, respond here!
Our plan is to meet on Thursday Feb 16th, 7pm, at the Milestone's restaurant at 4420 Lougheed Hwy (just past Boundary, in Burnaby).
If you plan to come, please reply to let us know.

I'll see what I can do about making this. No chance of making it a friday so I can bring the missus with me?

Unfortunately, I've got plans for the Friday. Also, we've already swapped the date once in order to ensure that Matt, Jamie, and I will all be able to attend... so we'd rather not move it again, as we might lose someone.
Will you be coming all the way from Victoria, just for this? I hope we don't disappoint!

We will surely be there, Varmint and I.
It should be just after our next demo release so we'll definately have something to talk about. :)
Funny, that is exactly where we had our first KrabbitWorld dinner celebration.
Folks came from as far as England to join us.
Keep us posted with time info.
With both of us now working fulltime on KWL we can choose our own break times.

Great! It'll be good to meet you.

Date and time are still as listed above. If anything changes (it shouldn't), I'll post here.

I'm there, or rather I will be. I live in Bellingham.
Hey there,
I've just recently moved to (West) Vancouver from Winnipeg, and am itching to meet up with some interesting communities of like-minded people. While I'm not really (yet) an indie developer, from time to time I do hammer out games (http://www.sporktania.com/) (Ludum Dare's 48-hour compos are a good excuse), and entertain visions of making a serious go at breaking into the business.
I'm aware that this forum caters to more serious indies, and I don't want to crash your party, so I'll ask: Would someone like myself be welcome at this meet-up?

Certainly! The more, the merrier, I say :)

Hey,
I've been somewhat offline for the past few weeks as I moved myself to Vancouver. I'm set up here now and will definitely be in attendance. Looking forward to meeting you all.
It's near the Brentwood Town Center skytrain stop, yes?

I believe so. Map:

Right next to Brentwood.
I look forward to meeting you as well! I hope your move has gone well.

Hey fellow Vancouver Indie Dev's.. we're planning on attending the dinner meetup this thursday and we just may have a demo release ready by Wednesday.
My question is: Would it be alright to post a link to our forum thread where the download links will be posted at that time?
This is not a commercial ready demo, nor are we ready to post the demo link in the announcements thread as yet.
But we would like to make our fellow Vancouverites aware of the demo in case you have time to test it out and provide some feedback at the dinner. :)
