an interesting little project http://gamegame.blogs.com/
trying to teach game design through game play.
it's a card game, and it's free. you just need to download a couple pdfs and print them out.
seems simple enough to play.
maybe you can get together with some of your target market (ie: bug your moms, wifes, sisters etc) and play a game or 2. see what they come up with ;) and of course "steal" anything that is good :P
