So I've got the current Armadillo/Software Passport. It works for me in all respects. I'd prefer to use 16 digit keys, as they're less annoying for the customer and less likely to produce errors. However, while I can wrap my project at Signature level 0 (which corresponds to 16 digit keys), when I try to set up an e-comm provider to provide these keys, the registration key it generates is 'SigLevelError'.
This happens with both BMT and Plimus (same exact error message even), so I suspect it's an error in the DLL that they're using from Software Passport, or something like that. Both sites can generate signature level 1 keys (i.e. 24 digit keys) just fine.
I don't really care about the extra security provided by 24 digits over 16 - I'm not selling rocket secrets or anything.
So do you guys just use the 24 digit keys, or what?
