Hey,

Let’s start with the basics; my name is Josh and I live in the UK, I've been around game development from about 10 years old and I have played them since the beginning of time!

I haven't created any games of my own but I am a coder and I love playing them. I'm also a huge fan of Nintendo but am open minded enough to see the merits of all console manufacturers and game developers and as you can probably tell I'm not much of a PC gamer. :p

I have a close friend who is studying to be a professional games designer, she did some work experience for Climax a while back and she absolutely loved it.

And now onto the important stuff; I signed up here because I’m going to need some help pretty soon with one of my pet projects.

I’ve started developing a portal for indie game designers….. What not another one!?! No, not just another one. I am creating a portal that will provide software, services, professional help, ebay style media and skills trading, free resources, career advice, industry interviews, and tons more all in one place. They will be priced to break even and to make no profit. Oh and web hosting for this project is free as I own a small web hosting company. :P

So that’s me then. I’m going to need a 1 or 2 web developers help me out in the near future but I notice there is no place to ask for volunteers so where would I post this?

Thanks all,
Josh.

Speaking of interest, I'm very interested to know more about this new portal of yours. Strange name though. How do you even say it?

@ AVataRR:

If you wan't I can post a new thread with proper details? And if you're talking about my username Sharpfish got it right.

I think I better just slip in a link to http://www.munkeynuts.net, its a great community but has gone through a lot of trouble over the years. Now there are only 100 members, but it is a very friendly and mature community.
