Delete this post. It's a dupe.

I was just browsing Pogo.com regarding another post (http://forums.indiegamer.com/showthread.php?p=72300) I was making, and I found something that completely disgusted and infuriated me. Take a look at Tumble Bees (http://games.pogo.com/deluxe.aspx?code=110545823&genre=Best%20of%202005). If you don't recognize it right away, take a look at our forum's own Matthew Wegner's (http://forums.indiegamer.com/member.php?u=150) company's (http://www.flashbangstudios.com/) game, Beesly's Buzzwords (http://www.playbuzzwords.com/). I have yet to talk to Matthew about this, but I was just so angry I had to post. Electronic Arts (who owns and runs Pogo) allegedly COMPLETELY STOLE his game design (INCLUDING theme, honey collection, bee mascot, etc...), and are selling it on their website! This is allegedly disgustingly blatent, even keeping in mind how much cloning there is in the casual games industry! What can be done about this? EA just allegedly takes what they want, and knows we don't have the strength to fight back!

Well did they ask Matthew for permission?

:) I don't know yet. That's why I mentioned that I didn't talk to Matt. But if they did ask for permission, I'd imagine it would retain the same title. I may have reacted prematurely. However, I don't think they did this with permission. It doesn't smell of that at all. But to reflect further that I don't know this for a fact, I just added key words to my first post. hehe

Tumblebees came out first. See http://forums.indiegamer.com/showthread.php?t=2136 Please consider doing a minimum of research before publicly accusing a company of "thieving" (I assume you mean "stealing"?)
