Ann & feedback request : The Prodigious Escapee Leper edition

Dear all Indie experts and games
I'm releasing the Prodigious escapee Super editon (Vr1.3 ) , this is a major improvement from previous version in term of music and maybe a littile on the graphic. The screenshot can be view with the following links

Besides, I would like to specially thanks Matt ( Leper ) for making this game a fantastic happy theme music ,a wining music and a losing music. Without Matt's help, I would still be stuck in those depressing midi song as described by the indie community here . :p

I like it. This is a game with lots of potential, but... it still needs lots of work. The game seems to borrow heavily from Dweep, which is fine, but as far as the user interface goes, you need to borrow some more. Here are a few remarks:

- Use better English. There are lots of little mistakes all over the place. Especially don't use "u" when you mean "you"!

- When you show your logo, the user needs to press a key to continue. I would leave that out. Who cares about your logo? If you leave it in, please please please allow the user to click the mouse here.

- Speaking of the mouse: the game controls are bad. Add mouse controls for the player, please. Right now you have to constantly switch between keyboard and mouse. It sucks. I know adding mouse support doesn't seem easy because it needs pathfinding, but really, pathfinding isn't that hard to add.

- The game quits when you alt-tab. That's just lazy.

- The game seems to eat cpu time, which isn't bad on a desktop computer, but it fries my laptop. Your game isn't all that computationally intensive, so maybe you can add a sleep somewhere in the main loop.

- I suggest that you get a graphics artist. The game deserves to be better looking. Fixing the user interface issues is more important, of course, but a little graphics polish wouldn't hurt either.

- The level select screen is boring. Could you show thumbnails of the levels, so the player can make some visual connection between the level number and what the level actually is?

- Maybe you should start off with easier levels and slowly explain what each item does. I didn't have much difficulty getting started because I played Dweep, but a novice player might wonder "what the hell am I supposed to do?" Maybe add a bunch of optional tutorial levels...

Anyway, I applaud you for making this kind of game, because I like 'em. :)

The demo opened an IE window and took me to your website upon exit. Hijacking the browser = Surefire way of losing me as a client. Nag screens work much better.

I just did a small update to remove the browser loading after quiting and also adding the logo skipping after pressing the mouse button. :)

leper is explained as

1) Person suffering from leprosy
2) Person who is rejected and avoided by others :

Does leper actually mean something in Malay (I'm assuming malay here ??). Looking it up just got me 'flat surfaced' which doesn't seem like it's it !

I was putting "leper" edition as a way to thank our board member - Leper for making a great happy music for prodigious escapee . But i didnt realize that it means something very "unfortunate" . :).

The music sounds heavily distorted andvery loud when I play this game.. Does anyone else have the same problem?
