Hi guys!

REM: I've noticed strange increase in activity in the latest weeks from all our sound guys from here. They are bombing my email box like we are some money machine. :) I love you all guys and 15 years of my life was spent on the stuff you represent now. But please keep in mind we are just small developing studio were smart and luck enough to build a living from this business. Nothing more!
Basically I resolve all our music needs by very simple way. I just go to shockwave-sound.com and choose there the tracks appealing to our next game. Hopefully you've noticed the prices there so you should imagine our limits. And if you are still reading there is the request...

These are two title screens from our upcoming game:

The game would be published in the nearest two weeks. And I've already visited shockwave-sound.com and we have an idea which tracks we would like to order there.

BUT If you feel strong enough (and not so greedy! ;) ) to propose your service you are welcome to take part. Please step up with your musical proposals for this particular game. Would we like the music and the price we are open to order the tracks from you. We give no any royalties! Just a flat fee.

Thanks for your time on reading this.
And thank you all for being here.

PS Would it sound reasonable enough to ask you to not disturb my email box anymore if you got no anything to say by your music for our game? :D

I also use off the shelf music.

However nearly everyone uses that site, I know at least 10 games offhand which use it... probably getting overused now and we need to find another site, perhaps less well known.

I think it's weird you're getting spammed though. As an artist, I would never dream of spamming people. I would name and shame them.

Oh. I wouldn't call spam serious collaboration proposal Rob. :)
They just became too active in the latest day. And now look - it's quiet yet. :D

Originality in music? Well. I could start long-long discussion on this. But saying shortly we need the music appealing by the best way to our particular game. That's most important. And that guys give us really good choice.
Saying about the rest...-this is simple really. I'd like people to say: "Oh. We already heard this theme in one of WildSnake titles". So far they're probably still saying something backward: "Ah! That WildSnakes have stolen this music from Retro64" So we still have a room to grow. :D ( Pardon Mike! The company name was used as example. ONLY!)

That's quite funny, I received two IDENTICAL emails from someone (that is posting on these forums) offering services in the last 4 hours.
And sorry for being slightly offtopic...
