EDIT: Well, two years have passed and I'm looking for a job again (this time in Game Design). It's funny how life plays out sometimes. I'm now less than a semester away from getting my Master's Degree in "Interactive Entertainment" from the University of Central Florida. I have recently received a BFA in Computer Art at Syracuse University and I am looking for the opportunity to do some cheap labor in exchange for experience.
For someone with no industry experience, I have a very good idea of what goes into making a game. I am quite adept at many 2D and 3D software packages and am becoming more so by the day. I am also very capable at traditional art such as drawing and painting. I feel that my artistic style would be right at home in the game industry, which is likely due to the strong influence video games and movies have had on me from a young age.
