I am in the process of creating a company and have a need for a logo and simple website. I really want something as simple and easy-to-use as this recent company's site (http://www.deepfriedentertainment.com/). It must be HTML (no Flash) with JavaScript used only within HTML tags for mouseover type of stuff, and it must not be graphics heavy. I'm talking *real* basic here. I would consider the site I linked to to be essentially perfect for what I'm talking about here.
If anyone is interested, PM me to let me know your rates, a really rough estimate for how long such an animal could take, and a URL where I can find samples of simlar work you've already done. (And please no suggestions of ripping the site I linked to since I know those guys and don't want to take any flak from them. :) )
No domain registration, hosting, etc is needed - I already have all that with an ugly "under contruction" page. :)

you can visit my web page... thats still underconstruction unfortunatly..
but you will see some of my graphic / logo design work and html / flash work... i could also put some music if you would like too... see my virtual D.J and flash audio section ( sound design )

Thanks for the info, guys. I'm collecting contact information at this point, since I already have a guy working on it. Of course, if it doesn't work out, or I would like a revamp in the future, I now know some guys that are interested. :)

Don't forget to ask for *text* links/nav as well if it is going to be heavily flash/graphic based that is if you are concerned about SEO and usability.
ahh I see it was just their own page that was all flash - their examples have a text footer. :)

Remember, you get what you pay for.

Of course you do.. But I'm definetely paying more than $145 because they are designing me a custom CMS. I have full confidence in them and they have been a pleasure to do business with so far (during development and after initial payment) - When they are finished I'll be happy to show their work! :D
Had I just wanted an HTML website though the $145.00 would have probably fit (I would say, aside from logo design? although I'm not sure)
Also, if you just want HTML why not buy EZGenerator for $99.00? I made http://mcfarlandgames.5u.com rather fast and it was enjoyable to do so using it. It's 100x better then MS Frontpage (which is way higher in price) and seamlessly adds menu buttons and sub pages with a click of a button (it is actually very very good for simple HTML projects) http://www.ezgenerator.com
EZGenerator comes with over 2,500 templates (and more and more on the net each day) and you can customize them with art from say... Mr Robert Cummings :D (whom I personally recommend for your logo design, just look at his website!)
EZGenerator also comes with php scripts for E-Commerce, flash banners you can customize, and even flash audio. It also comes with an Easy to use Image Slideshow thing.
I guess the greatest thing about EZG is that when you add sub-pages and categories it automatically puts the buttons on the nav menu. If you're making a web-page with lots of sub-pages, you dont have to do any html link commands or code at all. It does that automatically by just clicking "Add sub-category" and entering its title, which is fully renamable. It then designs the images (buttons) with anti-aliasing, font, and all other crazy modifications you specify (or not specify) and BAM website done.
You can make a fully functional website with multiple pages in like 5 minutes with EZG. Although I spent all day because I was tinkering with it for hours trying to get the best out of it.. Oh yeah, it also will upload itself to your website and you dont need an ftp client. because EZG has an ftp client built in.
Yep.. Over 2500 Templates, php e-commerce scripts, flash audio, flash banners (fully customizeable) and much much more for only $99.00. EZG is a NO BRAINER if you are just making an html site and want it up and running in less than a day.
