Vancouver Indie Meet-Up

Hi All,

We're looking to meet up with any Vancouver (Canada) area indies for the purposes of socializing and knowledge sharing :) Matt and I from Grubby Games will be attending, as will Jamie Cheng of Klei Entertainment (http://kleientertainment.com). If anyone else is interested in joining in, respond here!

Our plan is to meet on Sept 28th, 7pm, at the Milestone's restaurant at 2966 W 4th Ave.

As for the meetup. I would loooooove to come, but the busses dont run that late around here. Do any of you live around maple ridge? Maybe I could bum a ride off ya ;)

I would imagine that there are more than just the 4 indies you have listed, too... we just have to find them!

Also, is Detective Brand still active? Their domain name seems to have lapsed (unless I have the wrong address).

Regarding the meetup: No, Matt and I are not close to Maple Ridge :( We're both at/near downtown. I'm not sure where Jamie's from though.

Anyway, you should be able to catch a 701, a 160, and the 4 (or something similar) to get to Milestone's. Or, if that doesn't work, if you could just get closer to downtown somehow, I'm sure someone could pick you up and bring you the rest of the way.

Dude, I like learned to make games using your Dev-C++/Allegro/Blender tutorial! Heck, ive still got them on a cd somewhere...

I remember you used to hang around allegro.cc a lot. Then you kinda dissapeared. It is great to hear from you again, and even moreso that you reside in the lower mainland! :D
