Well. I hope moderators will find the appropriate forum for this message(thanks guys!) But let it stay here a little bit - at least somebody will note it here :D

Look guys how our WAVES made Feeding, Betty, Ricochet, Platypus and Snake life all together. :p

Hey Andy, I was noticing your placement there this afternoon and was going to PM you to congratulate you... is it really a mistake?

Hey Bruno,

I got no right to give any interviews all questions to our marketing deparment - Kidding... :D

Have no idea really. Think they are talking with us a lot? ;)
Hopefully we will sell some copies by mistake... :D

Man... Arkanoid clones are everywhere in the top 10 on portals. At one point 5/10 top 10 games were arkanoid clones on real. People just can't get enough of it.

Sigh.... svero pencils in a quick breakout game into his schedule...

Good News for Me!!!

For anyone keeping tabs on the progress of my new game, here's a screen shot or two to keep you going.

and it's quite puzzling. Personally I just don't understand the appeal of this old genre. The gameplay is limited, repetitive and boring in the long run. But it may be just me :)

One fact we didn't miss, and which makes us very happy, is that now in it's 12th month selling in BFG, Betty's Beer Bar has moved up from the 4th place to the 3rd!!!

It never left the Top 12, but it was #12 a couple of months ago. I think this proves the common wisdom I heard since I found the Dexterity forums and started doing this "professionally" : keep updating the game, keep fixing bugs, and people will keep buying it :) So, Andy, you know what to do ;)

I feel just now, after almost 12 months of sales, we have a very solid product; it's converting at 1.8% at BFG!

Our game is the best anyway... ;)

But pretty good and useful notes Gabriel!

BTW: I've played your Betty finally - two weeks ago. Looks like a terrible game for me. What does that mean really? - I get nothing at all in game design and game marketing :)
Congrats with your great Betty doing so well everywhere!

I've noticed also the success of Bud Redhead this month. Fun fact - Fishes weren't promoting this game at all but it got the first place in arcades. I'm glad for you guys. Looks like you got pretty good game there.

But-but, we'll beat you all... :D

Well, I don't spend my weekend nights playing Betty either :) (that's what Enemy Territory is for ;))

No, I think it means you don't belong to its target market (whatever it is!). However, it's obvious that it does work for a lot of people who post 10000 high scores per month here (http://www.mysterystudio.com/bbb_highscore.php) :)

Congrats with your great Betty doing so well everywhere!
Thank you!

But-but, we'll beat you all...
That's the spirit! No, really. Raising the bar is good for everyone. There is something of trying to get a larger slice of the pie, sure, and from that point of view we could consider ourselves competitors... but making both BBB and IW better actually produces a larger pie to share, since more people will buy better games.

I don't agree completely, or better saying, it is half-truth.
If your game IDEA is wrong, you won't sell it no matter how many changes you make to the game (of course unless you change completely the game but in that case you can't really talk about UPGRADE...!).
That's why I am releasing a game every 2 month. I can see which ideas works and which not. Then after one year I'll keep updating only the games that have a good CR, and leave the others :)
By releasing a game every 2 months doesn't mean that I rush out incomplete or crap games... GK reached 22 sales in 10 days and isn't a bad result at all for an "experiment" :D

@gambetta: I want compete and we are competing anyway. What does it mean in our relationships - nothing for me. I'm glad to any your success and open to help when ever I can. You right Gabriel - the spirit - pretty correct word. We should compete with each other and learn from each other to become better with every next step.

@celso: 22 sales?! Kidding?! :D Good for you - but I'm afraid these are that always first days' sells. Again, hope I'm wrong.

Well I have a big disadvantage of missing almost the whole USA market even if I sold 2-3 in USA (probably immigrants!) hehe
That's why next game will be sci-fi, popular everywhere, expecially USA :)
