Knightlore: New Dungeon Crawling Sound Effects From IndieSFX

Game sound effects specialists IndieSFX (www.indiesfx.co.uk) have released a new sound effects collection. Knightlore is a new set of medieval dungeon sounds, their first since 2003. Most of the sounds are very clean and dry, and many are direct recordings including sword and dagger sounds taken from actual blades.

The set includes some excellent mechanical trap sounds, door locks, monster noises and slime. Seamless ambience loops for things like fire, wind, and water and new footsteps add enough to encompass the genre of dungeon crawler games, and the swords form an essential resource for any bladed weapon fighter.

This sound effects set is the last IndieSFX disc of 2005 so it's a perfect time to get a 2005 bundle. Knightlore is available on CD-ROM or direct download for $24 US (£14 GBP), with a 25% discount on bundles including the entire IndieSFX library. Visit www.indiesfx.co.uk for audio previews and more information.

Heh, if I knew you were doing another fantasy pack I'd have asked for the things I had to fake up after buying the last one. :)

If you want to stick one extra sound into your pack, the most important thing I needed was noises for Finding Treasure - a good high-pitched metallic jingle, which by the nature of sound sampling becomes really hard to find at any individual sound-buying site, because low-quality samples LOSE all the high jingly tones. :)

Actually I've got quite a few sparkly sounds, it's just a matter of knowing the name :) PickupMagic on the "Sokoban Sounds" pack sounds like your description. Tell you what, if you order the pack and it's not what you want then I'll make up a custom sound to your requirements.
