I live on the Mississippi coast, 30 miles north of the beach. We evacuated to Nashville, TN, the night before the storm hit, where we've been for a week now. My in-laws are here with us, they live in Biloxi near the beach but just beyond the flooded area. Getting info has been difficult. We know that all of our relatives are alive, but there are friends we have not been able to get in touch with. Our houses are all very damaged but standing.

Being an indie means you can pack the entire business into a box when you evacuate, so I've been able to continue working from here. We've heard the power is slowly coming back on now, but we still won't be able to get back until gasoline distribution returns to semi-normal. We've heard first-hand from friends who have delivered gasoline and other supplies that people attempted to steal their supplies or hijack their vehicles along the open backroads to the coast, which was the only way in earlier in the week. So even though we live 30 miles inland, we still probably can't get back for another week, maybe two.
