Hi guys,
We just updated our site with a new Gameplay movie and a few screen shots. The gameplay movie has footage of a couple special powers and the boss characters.
Gameplay Movie (9MB) (http://outsidetheboxsoftware.com/media/powpow_gameplay_1.mpg)
Screen shots can be found here:

Any feedback or comments are welcome. I should mention though, the frame rate is kind of jumpy in the video in certain parts. This is due to my video capture method. The game itself runs much smoother. :) My computer can't seem to handle capturing frames and running my game smoothly at the same time. Regardless, I still think the video turned out good enough to post.
Anyway, we're entering the final lap, so hopefully the game will be done very soon!

Easiest solution for choppiness would be to use VIDEO-OUT and then record on another computer with VIDEO-IN. Not perfect quality but could be good enough.

I think the movie looks great; the sea scene especially. I'm looking forward to this one.

Looks great!
Just one little comment on the shadows if you don´t mind: I´ld think that the front side of blocks should be darker, since you have your light coming from the back and shadows going to the front (especially in that sunny desert level).
Anyway, good luck!

Looks simply amazing, Chris! It has a very unique gameplay, and the graphics are really good.
We'll have to organize another meeting in the local pub when the game's done, and see the final result first-hand! ;)

Yeah, it is looking pretty sweet. I am really amazed at the mileage that Shockwave3d can achieve when some good Lingo skills are put into play. I look forward to checking it out.
And I'm up for another beer get-together.. I thought I couldn't do it before next month, but I found out my move date was pushed back 2 months. :)

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone! :)
@Cogin
Wouldn't that require a video capture card?
@Mike Wiering
Thanks for bringing that up, yeah we should probably shade the platforms in accordance to the light source. I'm just afraid it might take away from the cartoony look.
@Rob & Jim
I won't be able to make it to an Indie Night for the next several weeks. I'm literally going to be a hermit until the game is done. :) But once it's done, I'll be glad to meet up for a few drinks.
@Gilzu
I'm really shooting for a release later this month, but it could slip to early October. Though I think many people here will find interesting the game package we're planning to sell on our website. We'll announce it in a little over a week's time.
