Fast as a Popping Bubble: It’s Bubble Blitz!

United Kingdom, Aug 31st, 2005 – Binary Sun (www.binarysun.co.uk) announced that their latest bubble popping craze is complete and available from their website. Bubble Blitz, a challenging game where you must think ahead and plan your bubble popping to achieve the highest score.

Speed counts in Bubble Blitz, you only have so much time to think. Move quickly and pop the right and larger sets of bubbles for high scores. The more points you score the more often you’ll get bombs or bubble bonuses to help you on your way. This simple yet challenging design is fun for all ages.

Though the design is simple the game is as infinite as your imagination. Only a true master will be able to get to the top of the 3 high score tables, yet a young child can easily pick it up and begin to develop strategies of bubble popping.

Binary Sun provides a free demo from their website, www.binarysun.co.uk. For more information on Bubble Blitz or any of their titles visit their website.

About Binary Sun

I like this game, shame the GFX are not more refined.

Hmmn, I was under the impression the all the games on the Binary Sun website were written by other indie developers and the code for Bubble Blitz was given to them by the author of Bubble Bomb..

I wrote Rocket Boards, and ExGen - both available on Binary Sun. I was working on a game with Respawn Games before they shut down so instead of being paid I was given the source code to Bubble Bomb and Seths Puzzle boxes. Bubble Blitz is based on Bubble Bomb, but I rebuilt an awful lot of it.

As for the statement you quoted, I am an indie developer. I just happen to sell some games made by other people (will include Super Gerball soon). There are no publishers involved and I work at my own pace (very, very slowly).

Next up is a retro shooter, which is being developed primarily by someone else. Maybe I'll have to reword the statement.

Hmm - I guess I'm going to have to look at the graphics. I really like the way it looks but lots of people on here have complained. I was going for the retro pixelly look but it appears people don't like it. I was under the impression retro was cool :(

Apologies, my misunderstanding.

I like how your game looks, but let me give you my opinion about the the problem of pixels.
I think that they are not retro, it can be noticed that they are pixelated, but not enough to be retro, to be recognized as retro the pixels should be even more big.

I also remember seeing the face of the little guy in pixelation forums...or maybe im confused?.

Nice game!

Christian - I can see where your're coming from. The bubble graphics did end up being slightly anti aliased so maybe I should play with that.

I know what ytou mean about the larger pixels as well, but there's too much info on the screen for me to be able to do anything consistant. If I wasw to make the character art have double sized pixels then the text would look out of place because it needs to be more detailed to be readable.

The character was created from scratch by me. He is one of the characters from Rocket Boards. I've always liked the idea of doing a Nintendo and using the same characters in lots of games.
