As of today (this morning in fact) I dont work for Xing International/Interactive/Mobile/Records anymore my freelance contract period is up!.
I kind of got tired drawing boxes and inlays anyway - I did easily over a 100 seperate packaging designs - and yes I got payed so no probs there :)
I just finished 2 new mobile games for them Dweebs & Super Frootz so look out for them in future perhaps as Xing Mobile are doing all the business end with those now (yes I got payed to develop them also so no probs there either)
I'm skint now tho really :( but free :) at least to do whatever I want now - yippie!!!
Dweebs 3 then - nah I think not I milked it to death over the last 6-7 years as it is :P
I might try and pitch some more games at eGames down the line (I like them they are good!) they are going to release Dweebs & Dweebs2 again this xmas in compilation form now so the little buggers are still selling 7 years later!.
All income is good income I say!.
All the best,
Adrian.

Hi,
Yeah thanks I woke up with a minging cold this morning too so am well ill :/
I think I'll have a week off then get back to some new coding and stuff. I have gained a few 'good' contacts in the mobile publishing scene now so I may pursue that - dunno yet mind (to ill to think about it all really now!).
I spent the last 3 months coding like a black man on a chain gang to get the mobile games together which although was not overly hard, it did mean I had to work almost non-stop to bring the projects home.
I'm knackered I tell ya! :)
Cheers then I think I'll go and have some pills and a kip,
Adrian (with tissue stuffed up right nostril).

Just a thought, why not put your details in the services for hire section regarding doing box art. It probably would be interest to indie devs, or even casual portal managers who sometimes do retail versions.

Hi,
Thanks but I have been drawing boxes and inlays and posters and all things arty for what seems like an age now (many for other peeps games on here of course) and being a games programmer at heart myself (I'm one of those jack of all trades and master of a few types) would very much like to continue with actually writing games while I still can.
I also having been going for quite some time now, and like those type deals where I get payed directly from the source so will probably look to pursue those deals in future so that my wife and I actually get to live and eat :)
Cheers tho I already have some of my music listed in there but then thats just for show not for money!,
Adrian.

This is a great discussion for the Indie Life forum....
I've seen a few posts where you are telling people where their posts belong. Appreciate the dilligence but please avoid this when not a clear violation. Adrian's post could easily be considered business related and we also want to be a friendly open resource.
(edit) And yet another response to us politely asking you to stop so additional post deleted.

Yes these posts are getting annoying. If I see another one I'll have to learn how to use the ignore function. :)

Heh :)
Hi all er yes sorry perhaps I should of made my brief personal announcement in the Indie Life section instead, bit late now of course but never mind then.
Regards the Mobile games tho... I am new to this side of the business but of course have been actively programming on mobiles for about 10 months now.
The last 2 games I did were completed in around a month each and most of the other 8 months before that was spent doing the packaging and promotional art for Xing International.
I think that now they are completed screenshot graphics will appear on the net soon enough... Dweebs turned out really cool actually and Super Frootz is a five reel slot machine for mobiles with fruit in.
I already (since yesterday) have had new work come in for another mobile title so am starting this shortly with another publisher - so looks like September will be busy at least.
Cheers 4 now then (must of had 24hr cold as I feel fine today - odd!?)
