There is a new game on Real called Splash (Gamehouse)...

it's a neat new twist on Zuma type games, I actually didn't find it that good at first, but after 10 mins of playing I was pretty impressed.

It definetly worked out much better then my attempt at merging Zuma and Snake/Nibbles. :)

Just goes to show, no matter how much you think something can't evolve, it always can.

I wasn't terribly impressed, even after quite a bit of playing. And I'd hardly call it a twist on the "Zuma" genre. (Puzzloop genre, anyone? ;)) It's more like a not-so-glorified version of that game in arcades where you have the gun and keep the advancing zombies/robots/badguys at bay. With combos. Of course, my opinion surely won't be that of the masses. If they liked it in arcades, they'll like it online. (Sheep.)

you brits... I know all about Puzzloop, but most casual game players think Zuma is the originator... besides it's not who came first, but who came with more.

hmm, yeh... that would be a disturbing trend.

Sheep you say.....baaaaaaad boy!! ;)
I did like it, but have to agree it was certainly no 'ZUMA'.I found it a lot more simplistic than the other 'BALL MATCHING GAMES', but hey.......at least they got them 'sub-pixel interpolated bezier curves' down to a 'T'...DOH!!!! ;)

Note to self........Must take a look at geometrical maths etc!!!! :p

All the best

It's in fact a remake of a shoot them up from the early 80's ( a little after galaxian ), i'll try to find the name & screenshots ( it wasn't very popular at the time so it didn't leave much trace... )

Its like the games at carnavals that have you shoot water at approaching ducks...I'm sure thats where they took the concept.

In any case, it seems way too simplistic, but hey, that seems to work these days.
