I'm not talking about the safety against hacking... but about generic problems such as crashes or incompatibility with certain Windows OS (ME, 98 first edition).
I'm thinking to start using it from my upcoming games, but I have fear of having additional bugs beside my own ones :D
Lurking the official forums, sometimes I saw users reporting various problems with it, so I would like to hear your experiences with it (if I remember well many people use it in this forums).
Thanks in advance!

Haven't heard anyone experience problems from Armadillo for my games...

Using it here and tested under Win98SE. Haven't had any problems or conflictions with any version of Windows, including 95.
Hope that helps :-)
Edit : I should mention that I don't use the Software Passport GUI. I like the Armadillo interface.

We have had no bug reports of issues with Armadillo in our games, and the couple of times I needed support from them when I was integrating it they were fantastic.

Cool, thanks for sharing :)
Maybe the problems occur only if you use advanced features or heavy protection systems (which I wouldn't use anyway, I head they may affect game performance).
I'll seriously think about buying Armadillo then

Is it for mac? Software Passport is Windows only.
Armadillo doesn't seem to handle Macromedia Projectors very well (or at all)... that's the only issue I've come across that couldn't be resolved and I've wrapped about a hundred games.

I did have a few reports of problems when I used the advanced protection methods. These were among registered users who couldn't use the new keys I'd just provided them with. I turned off the advanced protection options and all was perfect. I don't recall the exact options, but I will try to sort through all my old emails and see if I can find one that reminds me. I remember having a conversation with another developer who was one of the people having problems, and I may have mentioned to him exactly what I changed.

I would like to know if you had any news to add about Armadillo problems so I'm going to revive this old thread ;)
I did a search for all games I knew protected with it and was impressive, couldn't find any working crack/serial for them...!

Well, my one experience with Armadillo (as a developer) was not very positive... I downloaded the demo version and tried to use their wrapper on my executable. My game would do nothing but lock up after it was "wrapped"... even without the compression option.
Of course, this is just one isolated incident.
