Tiny Mantis Entertainment is proud to announce it's first game “The Mosquito Project”. “The Mosquito Project” is a free online game that casts you as humanity's last hope. The world is plagued by a mysterious virus that was brought back from the past. It's your job to go back in time and suck the blood out of 4 people who may be carrying the disease and the antigen needed to save humanity. Along the way you will need to escape the clutches of angry victims, electric fans, bats, lizards and spiders!
“The Mosquito Project” features two control systems (automatic and manual), world wide rankings as well as local top scores. The game runs in the browser on PC and Macintosh computers via the Flash plugin. Minimum CPU speed is 1.2 GHZ.

You can play the game at:

I like the humour in the intro, etc. But after sitting through 5 loading screens, and being unable to skip the next movie, I gave up without even getting into the game.

Needs a skip button, even if you did put a lot of work into the movies (and you clearly did). But it's a game, not a movie.

It's your job to go back in time and suck the blood out of 4 people who may be carrying the disease and the antigen needed to save humanity. For one, you may want to change the above sentence if you're sending the same text out everywhere. Without identifying the fact that you are a mosquito (even though it's in the title), it sounds more like vampirism than mosquito...ism.

Another thing: allow dial-up users to skip the movies. I had no problems (and kept wondering when I'd start getting pissed, like botman), but dial-up users seem to.

Finally, for those who don't know, this is a Flash clone of Mister Mosquito (http://ps2.ign.com/objects/017/017478.html), an EXCELLENT game for the PS2. Highly recommended! (Both)

Heh, I'm not miffed. :p I'm on broadband -- the loading wasn't the problem, it's just the movies themselves went on too long, I wanted to play the game.

I wondered if it was influenced by that other game (how many games about Mosquitos can there be).

Pretty fun game actually...

Two of the cutscenes were skipable by clicking...

soniCron - thanks that does make more sense.
To everyone else - the movies should be skippable - just click the mouse. The only movie that is not skippable is the the little tiny mantis logo movie.

Believe it or not we had not heard of or played Mister Mosquito while working on the project. Maybe it's for the best. I'm definitely going to check it out though :)

The tutorial thing at the beginning, after taking FOREVER to display the whole text letter by letter, stopped after telling me that holding the mouse button makes you fly up. I'm using dial-up, so that might be why :o. Anyway I tried clicking on the other subjects on the left of the tutorial screen and nothing happened so I clicked close and decided to guess  . I got as far as landing on the Elvis-guy's head and started pressing random buttons to see if it would bite him... Well, nothing happened so I gave up and closed the window. Gah.
